Don't get me wrong I saw a trailer and thought this game looks completely awesome and for the price/early access I wasn't expecting a AAA game by any means, but I was expecting more than 5 minutes of game stretched over an hour Boom back at the starting zone with no penalty. I thought maybe death would carry a penalty/perhaps you get sent to hell or something? Part of the plot is explained in some fashion? So I threw myself off a massive cliff and died. Saying the possessed just stand around is barely an exaggeration as even running into the town center at night without the lantern then just swinging a sword as a living blender was enough to effortlessly murder them all before continuing the real game which is of course looting everything for a billion useless consumables Why is the game so shallow? (I know it is early access but after 'beating' the demo I can safely say that there are two enemies, the possessed who stand there waiting for you to murder them and the 'boss' is a knight who is for whatever reason hanging out in an empty building) don't get me wrong I thought the game looked cool at first but once the novelty wears off after the first town the rest is exactly the same. They also lose that battle, with the demon able to use its magic to throw the player from the roof.Why is the intro so long and yet tells us nothing? Why does it repeat with a slight variation? Rooftop Confrontation: The pre-alpha footage culminates with the player hacking their way through the possessed knights on the floors of the tower to reach the top, where they confront a proper burning demon, as opposed to the zombie-like possessed they encountered earlier. ![]() Playing with Fire: The demon seen in the pre-alpha has fire attacks.Literal Disarming: Pre-alpha footage shows that your attacks can hack enemies' limbs off.In the pre-alpha footage, their armor really seems to make a difference - the possessed knight survived about a couple dozen axe blows before going down, while regular possessed go down in one or two.
